License Model

TL;DR: Permanent license with 1 year of updates and 2 seats

TL;DR2: If you want to update after 1 year, a new license has to be acquired.

• Permanent license
  • When you pay for the dy RS Tools, the library is yours to use, forever.
• A license includes 1 year of updates

  • When you pay for a new license, it comes with one year of updates, if you don’t want still receive more updates, there won’t be any required action.

    <aside> 👩‍💻 If you try to install a version build that is newer than the 1 year of your license, you will receive a similar message like this:

  • If after one year of the license you want to update it, you must buy a new license on the Gumroad product page, check Get Library

• 2 Seats

  • The license model comes with 2 seats, seats for a workstation and a home computer.

  • If you buy more than 1 license, Gumroad will generate only one license code for you, which already has 2 seats for each quantity of licenses you bought.

    <aside> 👩‍💻 Example case:

    If you buy 2 (quantity) of licenses on Gumroad, you will receive only one license code in your email by Gumroad, that license will be allowed to be used for 2 users and with 2 seats usage each one.

Get a License

Once you buy the library on Gumroad (check Get Library), you will receive a license code on your receipt and your email, make sure to backup your license code.

License Activation

After installing the library, to activate the license you need to find the dy RS Tools shelf, once you are on the shelf, you can find a shelf tool called Manage License:

And click on Activate License:

Once you click it, you need to add the license Gumroad sent you, and you are done!

How can I check if the license is running?

1. If Houdini is not complaining after opening, that’s ok for now.
2. If you create a Flag node in OBJ context without any message, the license is running ok.
